MY DARLING REBECCA

From dusk til' dawn
Your lovely presence
Warms the sanctity of my thoughts.
There is no secret portal
Through which you can be kept.
Your smile, your mind,
Your soul, your beauty,
The warmth of your body,
Follow me into the tiniest
Recesses of my brain.
Not that I would not have it so.
Where I go you shall go;
For you are now a part of me.
We are one.
Tears well to my eyes
But never materialize.
And my being is racked
With a feeling of emptiness,
Caused by my
Inability to show you my
Love for you.
Yet, a glow of pride
Permeates every cell of my body;
For you are mine, and I am yours.
We need no earthly ties
To prove our love.
It is raised above such things.
And when life's span has spent itself
In Senility,
Our love will span eons--to eternity.
